Overview of the Silverado Fire

The Silverado Fire destroyed or damaged 14 structures in Orange County from late October through early November 2020. Two firefighters were severely burned in the fire.

Santa Ana wind gusts of up to 80 miles per hour pushed the Silverado Fire through more than 13,000 acres with astonishing speed. Approximately 90,000 people were evacuated from their homes and schools. As is common after wildfires, heavy rain later caused dangerous mudslides in the burn scars.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but Southern California Edison has stated that a telecommunications lashing wire could have contributed to its ignition.

What Damages Can I Recover in a Fire Damage Case?

We evaluate each case individually, so the damages you can seek will be unique to you. We routinely help clients recover economic and non-economic damages after suffering losses from fire damage.

That may include compensation for:

How Much Can I Get for My Wildfire Damage Case?

Every case is unique, and the value of your case is based on your individual losses and experiences related to the fire.

  • The type of insurance you have and the total value of the policy
  • The extent of any personal injuries
  • Whether you own a business affected by the fire
